Responsibilities

What You'll Do

  • Manage relationships with vendors including but not limited to identifying new market entrants, evaluating supplier qualifications and technical proposal reviews.
  • Negotiate supply agreements and/or terms and conditions with vendors with collaboration of the legal counsel.
  • Work with engineering and other internal teams on request for proposals and evaluate pricing proposals and term sheets for equipment supply.
  • Monitor steel pricing indices to determine optimal procurement timing of racking foundations.
  • Identify and execute any/all costs saving opportunities through continued optimization strategies and recommendations.
  • Assist Procurement management with the development of contracting strategies and processes that result in best value for the Company.
  • Help facilitate requests for information from vendors during quoting process in collaboration with the engineering team.
  • Work with engineering and other internal teams on request for proposals and evaluate pricing proposals and term sheets for equipment supply.
  • Work with Project Controls to Compare Pricing to budgeted levels and communicate information to appropriate managers for the projects.
  • Host meetings with Construction team(s) for schedule updates for each active project.
  • Production planning with vendors using build forecasts.
  • Work closely with logistics team to ensure timely delivery of equipment.
  • Identify and Escalate any issues with vendors that would affect timely supply, price, or quality.
  • Hold vendor Road Map meetings as appropriate to share new information and technologies.
  • Become the Expert for your assigned commodity through the vendor and self-education.
  • Handles incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
  • Receives/logs/expedites equipment and labor quotes and submittals.
  • Maintains correspondence and construction documentation database.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Exposure to the renewable energy industry is a plus.
  • Experience in a transaction or project-based environment, preferably in the power or energy sector

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in geology, business administration, or construction management.
